Hosted by Innovate North State, the inaugural American Manufacturing Repatriation Summit displayed manufacturing excellence from Pleasanton to the Oregon border, encompassing most of Northern California’s non-metropolitan region. Innovate North State Managing Director Jon Gregory was pleased at the caliber of manufacturers who were honored at the Summit, stating “the 100 manufacturers that make up the inaugural Nor-Cal 100 represent an amazing, in many cases unknown, group of business who are innovating throughout Northern California, selling products all over the world, and bringing dollars back home to the region.
Innovate North State is a public/private organization focused on creating jobs in Northern California. They organized their first ever manufacturing summit and brought together a number of speakers with the focus on manufacturing in the United States. The keynote speaker was Richard Davis, CEO of US Bank, and he spoke about the importance of manufacturers leading the US out of this recession. John Gregory, managing director of Innovative North State said he is pleased with the caliber of manufacturers to be honored at the Summit. Gregory commented, “The 100 manufacturers that make up the inaugural Nor-Cal 100 represent an amazing, in many cases, unknown group of businesses who are innovating throughout Northern California, selling products all over the world, and bringing dollars back home to the region.” At the end of the program WECO was recognized as a top 100 most innovative manufacturer in Northern California. They started with a list of 1100 companies from Dun & Bradstreet and then researched each company to come up with their top one hundred.
